Meet Your Ambassadors

Dana Borrelli-Murray
I didn’t let getting kicked out of dance class for general awkwardness at age 10 extinguish the fire in my soul for a good dance party. These days, I channel that same chaotic joy along with creativity, strategy and rebellion in all aspects of my life.
By day, I serve as the CEO of the Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England, where I’m on a mission to make Girl Scouts the most relevant, inclusive, and empowering leadership program for today’s youth. I build systems and designs programs that help young people discover their personal best, connect across differences, and take bold action to make the world a better place.
An anthropologist by training and nerd by heart, I am driven by the power of community, music-making, and social justice. A native to the Ocean State, I spend an almost suspicious amount of time serving on city, state, and national boards and committees. I was the past Board Chair for Trinity Academy for the Performing Arts, and I’m a founding board member of Gather RI, a feminist cultural center celebrating women and gender-expansive people.
And then there’s Earlybirds Club—the dream that somehow became reality. A place for fun, connection, and unapologetic silliness with reasonable bedtimes, it’s exactly the kind of joyful chaos I have been training for since that fateful dance class expulsion.
I live in Cranston with my amazingly supportive spouse, four energetic kids, and a saxophone that’s always ready to rally.
