Aly “Goldey” Goldstein

Hi! I’m Aly, aka Goldey. I’m a psychologist, DJ, dance party organizer, board member of OUT Maine, and generally happiest anywhere there’s a dance floor. I split my time between Midcoast and Portland, deejaying dance-forward tech house sets in both places and helping to grow Midcoast Maine’s dance scene through parties, fundraisers, and dance classes.
Music has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve played trumpet since 4th grade, spent a summer at Berklee College of Music, and for most of my 20s went out to hear music more days than not.
I’ve always loved the way music can change the feeling of a room, making humans feel connected even when they don’t know each other. My favorite dance parties are the ones where people feel comfortable enough to let go, get into the music, and dance however they want.
I’m usually ready to dance long before the rest of the party is, which means I get plenty of space on the dance floor, but not always the full crowd energy. That’s one of the things that makes me so excited about Earlybirds Club—you don’t have to wait until late to get dancing.
I can’t wait to bring that energy to Portland. See you on the dance floor!
